It was a summer afternoon in 1986 when Cisco, Jerk and Chuck from the crew \u003cem data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"405\"\u003eThe Magnificent Crowns\u003c\/em\u003e took the S-Bahn to Bergedorf to paint a train in the yard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"769\"\u003eGetting to the train back then was almost child's play: in Bergedorf you would walk through a small forest, climb over a rusty chest-high fence and you were standing right next to the train. On that day Jerk started on the far left, Chuck on the far right, while Cisco worked on the wagon in the middle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"903\"\u003eHis plan: probably Hamburg's first One-Man End-to-End. The fact that he painted a first-class wagon could almost be called symbolic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"1172\"\u003ePieces like this showed the scene who the real \"Kings in Town\" were in 1986: the crown and the \"Medusa head\" on the left, the complex style with bright yellow blocks and a Bodé-style character in the middle, and the police character with a TMC-style on the far right.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1459\"\u003eIn 1986 the then 17-year-old Cisco set new standards for train writing in Hamburg — and probably across Germany. He was Hamburg's first writer who consistently painted trains. How many trains he painted is impossible to say today, as many photos unfortunately didn't survive the years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1461\" data-end=\"1615\"\u003eThat this piece — likely the first train of this quality in Hamburg — exists in such a high-quality photograph today is thanks to his crew colleague Jerk.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1617\" data-end=\"1817\"\u003e\"I sat down at the main station a few days after the action with my mother's SLR camera and waited,\" he remembers.
